Clear, honest expectations.
Therapy is an investment in yourself. Below is everything you need to know about session fees, out-of-network reimbursement, and how payment is handled — no surprises.
Individual therapy
One-on-one CBT for adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity, relationships, or burnout.
Couples therapy
Structured, evidence-based work for partners — communication, conflict, repair, and reconnection.
Reduced-fee slots
A limited number of sliding-scale spots may be available based on financial need and current caseload. If cost is a barrier, please bring it up during your free consultation — we can talk it through together.
A self-pay, out-of-network practice.
I do not bill insurance directly. Many clients with PPO plans receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network mental health benefits.
Each month I'll provide a superbill — an itemized receipt with the diagnosis and CPT codes your insurer needs — that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
Questions to ask your insurance:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
- What percentage of CPT 90837 / 90847 is reimbursed?
- How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Policies & details
How payment works
A credit or debit card is kept securely on file through the Simple Practice client portal and charged after each session. HSA / FSA cards are accepted.
Cancellation policy
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice — or missed without notice — are charged the full session fee. Insurance does not reimburse late cancellations.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. One will be provided at intake; you may request another at any time.
Confidentiality
All sessions, records, and communication are confidential and HIPAA-protected through Simple Practice's secure platform. Limits to confidentiality are reviewed at intake.
Existing clients
Pay an invoice, schedule, message securely, or access documents through the client portal.
